The gallery - Togetherness
For this week's gallery, I have chosen a photo of my children and my brother's children, on holiday together in the summer 2010.

It gives me a great deal of happiness to see how much they love being together and how much fun they have - even after months and months of not seeing each other they always just pick up where they left off and despite an 8 year age difference between Harry, the eldest at 10 and Theo the youngest at 2, they all play together and laugh together (and, yes, fight together...) as if they are from one big family.
But this is a sad photo too. It was taken on the last summer and the last holiday that we were all truely together, as a few months later Harry and Max's mum lost her fight with cancer. If I could have one wish, it would be to put my brother's family back together again.

Oh gosh, I'm very sad to hear that. Thinking of you all. What a special photo, and a wonderful bond your little people have... x
Oh gosh, a really heart warming photo and such a sad element behind it.
thank you for sharing, a really personal take on togetherness.
So sorry for your loss. I hope that your children all continue to find happiness in each other x
What a happy memory, your daughter's smile is lovely.
I spent my childhood being the only girl amongst lots of boy cousins and at the time found it really annoying. However, now I really appreciate it - I have so many 'brothers' to look after me! x
Lovely photo of cousins together. So sad too. Very poignant.
Thanks for all these lovely comments.
A very special photograph indeed... Emma
