Friday Fashion Finds
I have a love/hate view of NEXT. Loads of their children's clothes are of the type with cartoon fairies or cars and little slogans saying 'I'm a Princess' or 'Mummy's Monster', which personally I'm not so keen on.
But among all that they often have some real gems.
For girls, their tights are great and I headed there the other week as Freyja has grown out of her age 3-4s. I did a bit of a double take as I walked in. I wasn't so keen on the boys stuff, but the girls collection was great. Lots of animal print items and florals, which I love.
I got this denim ra-ra skirt which she has already worn to death:

Going to have to get another in a bigger size. Also got two brilliant tunics, one with a tiger face and one with zebra stripes. There were lots of things along these lines so I had to resist buying too much of the same.
Then I went on the website when I came home, and spotted these gorgeous bow tops:

if Theo turns out anything like Jacob and Sam, then all he'll want on his tshirts is cartoon/film characters and Next is pretty good for the zeitgeisty ones. So atm, Jacob loves anything to do with Star Wars and SW Lego, Indiana Jones, Sonic, Mario, and Sam loves Mr Men, Toy Story etc. And if Next don't do it, M&S do.
I've given up looking at catalogues like Mini Boden because although I like the stuff in there, the boys wouldn't give it a second thought. Hey ho - getting into labels at an early age :)
Yes, I think he'll probably go that way too! He doesn't care yet, but we have already got quite a lot of Thomas the Tank going on....
H&M do good Star Wars tops too. I do quite like that sort of stuff though, some of it is pretty cool I think!!
I like Mini Boden for kids too, but, yes, no good if they won't wear it.
Freyja is more open to things, but also starting to form her own opinions on how she wants to dress too.
I'll give H&M a go - don't normally go in there for some reason. I let Jacob and Sam pick their own clothes these days - its only jeans and tshirts and they can't really go too wrong :)
