It's done...
...I have submitted my application for primary schools for Freyja. I feel sick and relieved in equal measure.
Although I have put 4 choices down I am 99.9% sure that she will get a place in the one I have put as second choice. However, I would love her to get the one I put down as my first choice. But it's a little further away - we're talking a 10 minute as opposed to a 5 minute walk here, so there's not much in it, but in Lewisham, where schools are oversubscribed, that makes a big difference.
I'll know on the 21st April. My preschool honeymoon is drawing to a close.

Finger crossed:)
I did Sam's application last year without any consultation with Doug - nice and easy the second time around!
Thanks. I'm expecting my 2nd choice so can only be pleasantly surprised.
Must be great 2nd time round!

Wow, that's late. We had a deadline of early November here and should hear by the end of January whether Yannick is in the school I put down as first choice. We also only had two choices but that's not surprising comparing the sizes of Winchester and London... :) I'm not worrying about it, despite our second choice being a lot more awkward to get to - whatever will be will be and I can worry when I find out what the result is.
Hope you get your first choice, Sylke. Wow, you find out much sooner than we do. Good luck!
Here's hoping you get choice number one!
Fingers (and toes) all crossed!
Oh good luck - I so really need to start looking into this for Toddlergirl but the whole thing just scares me
Scares me too....
Oh wow, exciting times. Hope you get what you hope for!
Thanks for stopping by at my blog. How comes I haven't come across your blog before??? It's great!
Thanks, Metropolitan Mum.
I've actually only recently discovered the whole mums blogging community...not really sure how it passed me by for so long!
I'm in your neighbourhood so will be interested to hear how you get on, though it's a few years off for me yet thank goodness! Best of luck...
Oooo, are you, Young Mummy? Well I'll let you know how I do. There are quite a few good schools round Lewisham - I'm on the borders of Forest Hill and Catford.
I'm in Honor Oak! I've heard Stillness is good which is very close to me. Don't suppose you know any good local day nurseries do you? I suppose I need to start thinking about putting E and A's names down....
OMG, we're really close! I used to live in Honor Oak and now live up on Blythe Hill.
I've used a child minder for mine, but there are nurseries around. I have friends who go to Little Seedlings which is in Honor Oak, and also Pitter Patter, which is on St Germans Road (up from the Honor Oak pub). There is also a nursery attached to the Ackroyd Centre, though I think it's quite hard to get into.
Have you lived in the area for long? Email me! solveig@pigeonhold.com
