Night Duty

For the last week my mum has taken Theo for me at night and I have caught up on some much needed sleep. He goes down in his cot then before I go to bed I feed him and hand him to my mum - who, walks the floor, pats him, gives him his dummy back etc etc until it's morning and time for me to feed him again. I have managed to sleep through until morning two times in that week and it's been just wonderful. Theo has gone easily without the night feeds and, after the first night, has been quicker to settle each time he wakes. I don't expect it will continue once I'm back on night duty but for now I'm just making the most of my undisturbed nights (and am determined not to start feeding him again once I'm back home...)
