Some News

My friend Katie is one of my closest friends - we lived together when we moved to London, first in Lewisham, above Pizza GoGo, where we lived on tuna pasta and free pizza given to us at the end of the night, and then in my flat in Honor Oak where we both grew up and settled down. Katie was bridesmaid at my wedding and I was bridesmaid at hers. We live round the corner from each other and she's the first person I tell my news to and the person I turn to for help, advice, a moan or a laugh. A few weeks ago she came to tell me some news - she was 5 weeks pregnant! Last night we all (Katie, Paul, Adrian, me and Freyja) went out for an early dinner to the Honor Oak to celebrate Katie's 12 week scan.

Before I had Freyja, someone who had recently become a mother told me that I wouldn't believe the way I would feel about my child, that it was just impossible to describe to anyone who didn't know. I think that is true and I am so pleased that Katie is about to find out.
