More new things
I have discovered another gorgeous children's website - Poppy & Iris. I've bought a couple of things in their sale. This Hibiscus dress I got Freyja is just wonderful and I now wish I'd bought her two sizes:
I went for age 3-4 as I thought I'd save it for next summer and I wasn't sure how big the sizes came up, but I wish I'd gone smaller now. Freyja still wears size 9-12 months in trousers, so I'm not quite sure what I was thinking at the the time!! It's a beautiful dress. I'd probably wear it if it came in my size...!
I've also got her a few things in the Monsoon and Mini Boden sales. There is a Monsoon near where I work and since their sale has been on I've popped in most lunchtimes...quite often just to have look though so I think they are starting to think I'm quite strange.
Freyja has a fabulous wardrobe! My mum gets her loads of clothes so I don't really have to buy her anything, but I just love it all and keep thinking that before I know it she'll be wearing unsuitable shoes and skirts and my chance to choose what she wears will have gone. Especially since I'm still getting the feeling she's a bit of a tomboy...I'd better make the most of it now!

eek! 3-4 is pretty big, they generally measure in at round 98 - 104 cms depending on whether its british or continental.
I think trousers are miles too long - Jacob is still in 18 - 24 months as 2-3 yrs tend to be an inch or two too long, although he's got t shirts that are 3-4 yrs and are a fairly good fit. Mad! Sam would do better in 9-12 month trousers, but his waist is too big for them :-)
Jacob and Sam wore their Monsoon shirts to a wedding yesterday, they looked lovely. And I've got the latest Mini Boden catalogue, but I'm keeping an eye out for an email from them offering me some money off before I buy anything.
BTW, there are some beautiful girl's outfits in the Autumn/Winter Vertbaudet catalogue. If I had girls I'd have even larger credit card bills than I do now :-)
I know - I don't know what I was thinking! I should have gone for 2-3 and she would still have had to grow into it. I might exchange it, if they have any left (it was on sale).
It's the length in trousers that I have problems with too - the next size up - 12-18 months look like they would fit most 5 year olds! 9-12 months trousers are starting to get a little tight on the waist now though, so she's going to have to go up soon. She is in 12 - 18 for tops and has been for a while now. I don't know where most places get their sizes from - the only place she wears the right size for her age is Gap.
Don't tell me about more nice clothes! I'm going to have look at Vertbaudet now too....sorry, Adrian! x
I'm right here, cutting up the credit cards :)
