A Birthday Celebration

Yesterday was Adrian's Grandma's 85th birthday. Normally we head up to North London to celebrate but this year they came down to us. It was a real treat because Renee's husband is not very well so they don't get to go out very often and they hardly ever venture far. The weather was glorious - we moved the kitchen table into the garden and put on a spread of gammon, salads, new potatoes, bread & hummus and rose wine, followed by cheesecake and strawberries.

Freyja behaved beautifully. Within half an hour of them arriving she had selected a book from her 'library', taken it to Renee and patted her knee to ask to sit on it. She certainly knows how to turn on the charm when it really matters.
