First Smile

We have officially decided that this Freyja's first proper smile. At least the first one we have caught on camera, taken last night:

Tricotti Sling

This Tricotti sling has been one of my best buys so far. It will be on my top 10 list:


Often, it is the only way I can get Freyja to have a nap during the day, but when she goes to sleep in it I might be lucky to get 2 hours out of her. I love having her close to me too. Carrying your baby is often referred to as baby wearing. I like that. If I'd known more about it before I had Freyja (why can't we have a trial run?) I would probably have got more into it right from day 1, especially as babies tend to take to it better if introduced to it earlier. To say that Freyja was not impressed the first time we tried to get her into it would be an understatement. But look at her snuggled up a sleep there - I knew I was right...

I have found a baby wearing website which reviews pretty much every sling and baby carrier you can buy. I can see one of my minor addictions coming on...

Pigeonhold Baby

Freyja is one of the first Pigeonhold babies - I think that actual honour goes to Asif and Christina and baby Janna. Adrian and I met at Pigeonhold (well, actually we met in Gid and Karen's garden after a Pigeonhold), married a few years later and soon after that deemed ourselves fit to become parents and brought Freyja into the world.

Here she is in a little Pigeonhold vest, given to her by Will and Lucy when she was born:



We sent this picture round as a 'Happy New Year and welcome baby Freyja' email to all our friends. I can see a whole line starting up in Pigeonhold baby clothing - little yellow sleep suits with tiny Pigeonhold logos, cute hats, black and yellow stripy tights, hey maybe even some black sleep suits and vests with yellow logos.

I'm not really sure when I will next have the chance to go to Pigeonhold but I am forever grateful to it for the role it played in bringing Freyja into this world.

I just need someone to make sure that all incriminating Pigeonhold photos are removed from the internet by the time she is able to use the computer (that'll be around age 2, right?)...
