First Night Apart

Last night was my first whole night away from Freyja. I was so sad leaving her and could have changed my mind right up the very last minute. I wasn't sure if she would feed without me (she's not great at taking a bottle) and was worried she would wake up and want me in the night, but I did want Adrian to get to spend some time alone with her. Well, not only was she absolutely fine but the little monkey slept through from 10pm to 7am! I couldn't believe it - especially as I had expected it to be my first night of full sleep and I actually ended up going to bed at 1am and sleeping on an air bed which I was sharing with Katie!! Not exactly a blissful night's sleep.

I did enjoy my night, though I was stressed about the feeding and I did have trouble pumping (absolutely essential if you want to avoid feeling that your boobs are about to burst open) and I felt very much out of it once the party really got going. Not to mention really, really missing Freyja! How desperately did I want to be cuddling her when I went up to bed! But I'm very glad I went and anyway, no way could I miss Lucy's hen night!

In other news, Karen announced that she is pregnant! So exciting !
